Next week, the Grasslands Conservation Council of BC will host an interactive booth at the BC Interior Community Foundation’s Pop-Up Community Centre. This is your chance to discover the wonders of BC’s grasslands—these precious ecosystems that cover less than 1% of our province yet support over 30% of BC’s species at risk.

Visit our interactive booth at the BCICF Pop-Up Community Centre next week! Explore BC’s grassland ecosystems through hands-on activities and informative displays. We’ll be open Monday through Wednesday from 10 AM-1 PM.

Don’t miss these special events:

Monday, July 22nd

10:00AM-12:00PM – Family Fun – Drop in for grasslands games and crafts suitable for all ages.

Friday, July 25th

10:00-11:30 AM & 2:30-4:30 PM – Grasslands Bingo – Test your knowledge of local species while competing for prizes in this fun, family-friendly activity.

Saturday, July 26th

10:00 AM-4:30 PM – BC Grasslands Plants Talk – Learn about the unique and diverse plant life that thrives in BC’s precious grassland ecosystems.

At our booth, you’ll find:

  • Interactive displays showcasing BC’s grassland ecosystems
  • Free take-home materials, including stickers and colouring sheets
  • Information about local conservation efforts
  • Opportunities to speak with grassland conservation experts
