Do you love capturing the natural beauty of grasslands, wildlife, and outdoor life? The Grasslands Conservation Council (GCC) invites you to take part in our 2025/2026 Photo Contest, a celebration of the incredible landscapes, species, and people who make British Columbia’s grasslands so special. The contest will run until 25th January at 11:59 PM.
Categories include: You can submit photos within multiple categories as follows and can upload maximum 10 photos. Please select options in the form which categories describe your photos the best:
- Grassland Plants
- Grassland Wildlife
- Grassland Birds
- Student
- Research/Project on Grasslands (photos related to restoration, stewardship, or research projects)
How to Enter: Submit your photo through this google form. The form also includes a consent section allowing GCC to feature your photos in social media posts, website, and magazine, always with full acknowledgement to the photographer.

Recognition and Features:
- Selected photos will be showcased on GCC’s social media channels with acknowledgement.
- Winners will be highlighted in the upcoming issue of the GCC Magazine 2026.
- Selected images may also become part of our digital photo pool for future educational and outreach materials in our website bcgrasslands.org, with proper acknowledgement.
Prizes and Special Features:
- Winners from each category will receive a special GCC gift, either a pair of GCC socks or a GCC T-shirt!
- A short bio of each winner, including the background behind the photo, and why grasslands matter to them will be featured on GCC social media.
Your Gift to GCC:
By entering the contest and providing consent, you can also offer a special gift to GCC. With your consent, your photos will be transformed into beautifully mounted canvases to be featured and sold at GCC’s upcoming fundraiser, “Loving the Grasslands.”
