We are thrilled to introduce Heidi as our new Outreach and Stewardship Assistant. She/they bring a wealth of experience and passion to this role, with responsibilities including monitoring stewardship projects, implementing a new membership system, ensuring timely grant reporting, applying for new grants, identifying outreach opportunities, participating in local markets and fairs, updating our website, managing social media, initiating the 2025 BC Grasslands Magazine, and assisting with invasive plant inventory and removal. They say, bring it on!

Rooted in their Celtic heritage, Heidi is dedicated to engaging with the Land in authentic, place-based reciprocity. They have facilitated various outdoor and environmental educational programs and are passionate about collecting and analyzing feedback to enhance their impact. Heidi is passionate about education and engaging youth in meaningful environmental stewardship.

Heidi holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from Thompson Rivers University, with additional certifications in Environmental Leadership, Global Competency, and Research.

Heidi’s ambition is to be a nourishing presence in their community, especially with young people, fostering lifelong connections to our incredible planet. We are excited to have their expertise and enthusiasm on board!
