Volunteers needed for a weed pull in Lac du Bois!
When: Thursday, August 10th from 8:30 – 11:30 am.
Where: 9.5 km mark along Lac du Bois Road. There is a small parking lot on the right-hand side. Please carpool, if possible!
What: Your help is needed to remove invasive weeds from the Long Lake nature trail in Lac du Bois and protect the park. Please dress for the weather, bring water, a snack, and work/ garden gloves.
This weed pull will be followed by a native seed application this October – stay tuned for details!

This event is hosted by the Friends of Lac du Bois which is a collaboration of many organizations including Kamloops Naturalist Club, Grasslands Conservation Council of BC, BC Parks, Thompson Nicola Invasive Plant Management Committee, Kamloops Bike Riders Association, Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc, the City of Kamloops, Big Little Science Center, Kamloops 4×4 Club, and the Kamloops Fish and Game Club.
