Saturday, June 18, 2022 for GCC’s June Fundraiser and Day in the Grasslands

Please join the GCC Board and GCC Chair Bob Haywood-Farmer and his family on their grasslands near Savona, BC. You’ll have an opportunity to hear about the rich natural and cultural history and values, grassland ecology, fire recovery, grazing management, as well as the local flora and fauna during the afternoon before we gather for dinner, conversation, and music.

We will begin and end our day at the historic Walachin Soldiers Memorial Hall and learn more about the rich history of the area.

We are so pleased to have former Lieutenant Governor of BC, Hon. Judy Guichon, as our keynote speaker for the evening as we enjoy Kathleen Haywood-Farmer’s delicious beef brisket dinner with vegetarian accompaniments and dessert. We’ll round out the evening hearing about the GCC’s future and opportunities for you to join us and finally with some traditional music from Rob Dinwoodie.
