Thursday, June 4: Fossils and History on the Grasslands (Field Day)
Spend a full day exploring the stories held in grassland landscapes, hosted with the Bonaparte Indian Band.
What to expect
- Guided stops that connect grasslands to deep time, culture, and local history
- Visits to the MacAbee Fossil Beds and Hat Creek Historic Ranch (entry fees included)

Friday, June 5 (Daytime): AGM + Talks
Our AGM takes place on Friday morning, followed by an afternoon of short talks on grasslands topics.

Friday, June 5 (Late Afternoon): No-host Social
Connect with fellow members, partners, and grasslands supporters after the AGM and before the evening activities.

Friday, June 5 (Evening): Lac du Bois Evening Tours
Join a small, casual group tour in the Lac du Bois Grasslands Protected Area near Kamloops. These evening walks are a chance to experience the grasslands in cooler temperatures and soft light.
What to expect
- One- to two-hour tours in the Red Hill and Long Lake area
- Hosted by local grasslands enthusiasts, with GCC available on site

Saturday, June 6: Conservation Area Field Tour + BBQ
Spend the day on conservation lands south of Kamloops, learning about grassland conservation in action and discussing why intact natural landscapes are essential.
Highlights
- Visits to GCC and NGO conservation lands
- Discussion-focused stops on restoration, conservation, and grassland values
- BBQ to wrap up the day at Grandview Acres in Knutsford
